Yahoo News Mark Lamarr arrested and charged with assault

Comedian and TV presenter Mark Lamarr has been charged with common assault, police have confirmed.
The former Never Mind the Buzzcocks host was arrested earlier this month following an incident at his home.
The Met Police said in a statement: "Mark Lamarr, 51, was charged on Saturday, September 1 with common assault and false imprisonment.
"He was released on conditional bail and will appear at Uxbridge magistrates court on October 2."
According to The Sun, the incident involved a woman who he has now been barred from contacting.
Lamarr first shot to fame as a co-presenter of the early 1990s late-night variety show The Word.
He was a team captain on comedy quiz Shooting Stars from 1995 to 1997, and hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks from 1996 to 2005.
Lamarr has since worked on radio and gone on to produce various compilation albums for several record labels.
