Channel 4 has continued to air the latest series of Married At First Sight, which is scheduled every weeknight at 9pm on E4.
Yahoo UK has contacted C4 for comment.
Banbury and father-of-four Roberts are still a couple on the show, which was filmed in advance of airing.
Banbury told The Sun: âThese revelations have knocked me for six. My head is spinning too much to comment.â
A spokesperson for Roberts said: âGeorge categorically denies these allegations.
"As a father of daughters he finds these accusations deeply upsetting and does not condone abuse nor behaves in that way.
âThese allegations were never brought to his attention, investigated or taken further by the police for good reason as they are simply not true."
A Channel 4 spokesperson said: âWe work incredibly closely with our production partners to ensure all Married at First Sight UK contributors are subject to rigorous background and psychological checks, including the most detailed police checks a production is able to undertake.
