The Married at First Sight UK cast has promised that this year's dinner parties will be "pure carnage", as they tell Yahoo UK about the level of drama viewers can expect from the 2023 edition of the E4 Show.

It's a moment that most fans are waiting for, where tensions run high as the married couples gossip, swap stories about their partners, and take the opportunity to air out their grievances with each other in front of an audience, sometimes very loudly, often slightly inebriated.

While their pairings have not yet been revealed, the stars shared some details of what is to come during the infamous parties and it seems that there's a lot of drama in store.

Groom Paul shares that they were "carnage, pure carnage".

Thomas adds: "It was so explosive, it was like an H-bomb went off. I can just remember I was between two people arguing just eating my pork thinking 'hmm... I'm just so hungry.'"

Terrence, who described himself as a "chill guy" who didn't like to get involved in drama, went on: "I think there was more screaming than eating."

"You try generally to mind your own business," Paul goes on. "And the next thing you know you're getting dragged into someone else's drama, you're like 'what the hell?' and you're bang in the middle of it."

The eighth season sees eight brides and grooms take part in a social experiment where they are paired with a stranger they must remember, one that the show's experts feel they are most compatible with. But sometimes this isn't always the case, and the couples clash in explosive ways onscreen.

Peggy joked that "literally for starter, main and dessert there's drama, drama, drama" during the dinner parties, while Rosaline likened the experience as being worse than dealing with animals on her farm.

"I was gobsmacked on the first dinner party," she says. "I was like I haven't been around animals like this and I've been around a lot of animals on the farm.

"It's next level, I was like 'Jesus take me back to the farm, quick!'"

Luke concurred, saying "the dinner parties are a rollercoaster for sure, really explosive at times."

To which fellow groom Brad said: "The tension before the dinner parties you could cut with a knife.

"You'd have close friends at dinner parties who you'd support and you'd make sure they wouldn't get jumped upon, but also you do have enemies and people you can't stand and you'd also jump on the bandwagon when they'd get [targeted]."

Bride Tasha kept it simple when describing the dinner parties, describing them as "chaotic" and "entertaining" and adding that it was also about "cold food, because none of us ended up eating it."
