Self-professed money-saving expert Martin Lewis is stepping down from his regular role as the nation's unofficial financial adviser on Good Morning Britain.
Martin, who has been helping viewers make the most of their money for 17 (!) years on GMB and the ITV breakfast shows that came before it, announced that he will no longer be doing his 'Deals of the Week' segment on today's (July 30) show.
"My time is running out, this is actually my last ever 'Deals of the Week'," he told Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray, explaining that the upcoming series of his live ITV evening series, The Martin Lewis Money Show, will be keeping him busy.
"I'm going to have a bit of a break for the summer," he explained. "I just want to say thank you all for watching, I'll see you in September.
"I'm not leaving properly but this is my main, every week slot going. I just can't cope with doing it all at once."
Ever committed to finding audiences a bargain or a saving to be made, Martin reassured viewers that he'll be back on screens on Thursday evenings from September.
In a tweet, Martin later thanked fans and Good Morning Britain for their support.
"After 17ish yrs on ITV breakfast that was my last Deals of the Week," he wrote.
