'Bake Off' star Matt Lucas wows fans with weight loss transformation

Matt Lucas has wowed fans by showing off his weight loss transformation.

The Great British Bake Off presenter, 47, went on The One Show this week looking quite a bit slimmer than usual.

And viewers were stunned by his trim new look.

Lucas shared a picture from his TV appearance on Instagram and several of his followers flocked to the comments section to congratulate him on his new physique.

One posted: "So slim. Looking great!"

"That weight loss is amazing," said one, while another said Lucas was "looking fit and fabulous".

"I want to know where the real Matt Lucas went??? I'm positively jealous," joked another fan.

"You look super handsome Matt!" said another admirer.

Another fan said: “I can't believe how much weight you have lost.”

Lucas had previously revealed that he piled on some extra pounds amid the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.

He showed off the start of his weight loss during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine last year.

When host Lorraine Kelly remarked on how good the Little Britain star was looking, Lucas replied: “I lost some weight. I needed to take the edge off, because I put on a lot of weight in lockdown, I just had to do something about it.

“I've still got a tum, I've got a little bit of a tum.”

“I'm not a skinny Minnie,” he added.
