Mauricio Pochettino: Final word I always tell Tottenham players before a game is 'enjoy'

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed the last words he always says to his Tottenham players before they take the field.

In a conversation with Spurs legends, and fellow Argentines, Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa, the manager was detailing his thoughts and preparations ahead of Sunday's north London derby.

Arsenal's trip to White Hart Lane will be the last ever, with Tottenham confirming on Friday the long-expected temporary switch to Wembley ahead of a new stadium move for the 2018-19 season.

Tottenham are favourites to triumph, having dropped just four points at home all season and winning their previous 12, and Pochettino is in no doubt over the atmosphere that will greet him on Sunday.

"It will be exciting," he said, talking to Villa. "You are a legend, an unbelievable player and I feel very proud to be here in between you two.

"Our football idea is the same when you were a player or manager," he continued, also addressing Ardiles. "The football you love to see and the football that you feel, we share.

"The last sentence I always say before we play is: 'Remember, enjoy. Enjoy the game.' That is most important, to feel free to play.

"We work alot during the week to prepare for the game, that is true, but then it is to trust in yourself and trust in your team-mate and enjoy football.

"As when you were a child playing football, it was an emotion."
