McDonald's is bringing back three 'legendary' burgers - date of new menu shakeup

McDonald's has revealed a massive menu shake-up that will see the return of three fan-favourite burgers - and we know the exact date that they will once again be available from.

The fast-food giant has been celebrating a major milestone this year, as it marks its 50th anniversary in the UK. To mark the occasion, seven new and returning items will be available to try this month.

Landing on menus from from July 17, the restaurant's limited edition 'birthday' menu will be bringing back three "legendary" burgers. This includes the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse, which makes its first appearance since October 2023.

The fan-favourite burger boasts a 100 percent chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating with a smoky BBQ sauce. It is finished with cheddar cheese, red onion, lettuce, all in a delicious sourdough style sesame topped bun.

Also re-joining the menu will be the Double Big Mac that has been made with four of the brand's 100 percent beef patties, cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles and the iconic Big Mac sauce. The Double Mac with Bacon will also be making a reappearance.

The golden arches is not just bringing back some of your favourites for its anniversary. The limited edition menu is also set to feature a brand new item for cheese lovers - the Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers.

This brand new side features four mozzarella dippers that have been flavoured with garlic and chives in a ciabatta-style breadcrumb coating. Also available in a larger box to share, the dippers come complete with a rich tomato dip.

It wouldn't be a birthday celebration without cake - and McDonald's has three sweet treats joining the limited menu. This includes Birthday Cake Donut, which features a a strawberry flavoured filling and topped with buttercream-flavoured icing and sprinkles.

McDonald's has also announced that 20p from each sale of its birthday cake donut will go towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities UK that is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The charity offers free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children in hospital.

There will also be two brand new McFlurry flavours including the Milkybar Raspberry Ripple that has been topped with Milkybar chocolate drops and topped with a sweet & sharp raspberry sauce. Lastly, the Munchies Cookie Dough features chocolate-coated Munchies biscuit pieces and a caramel cookie dough sauce.

Fans of the Chicken Sharebox, which debuted on menus this summer, will be happy to hear that it is hear to stay. Launched in May, this sharing box features six Chicken Selects, twelve Chicken McNuggets, plus two McNuggets dips and two Selects dips.
