McDonald’s Opens Up Late Night WALK-THRU Lane For Drunk Clubbers
Going out clubbing is usually followed by an intense desire for a McDonald’s meal, but it’s not always easy to satisfy the craving.
Not every MCD is open very late unless they’re an all-night drive-thru - but being drunk obviously means that being out of the question.
However, a branch of the fast food giant in Llandudno, Wales, have hit upon the genius idea of having a WALK-THRU lane for those who want their late night burger fix.
The restaurant has decided to trial the new lane after drunk partygoers walked into the drive-thru lane in a desperate attempt to get served.
In the past they have been turned away for safety reasons but now they are getting their very own lane dedicated just to them.
A McDonald’s spokeswoman said: “The ‘walk-thru’ was a local initiative by the business manager of the restaurant
Trial: The scheme at the Llandudno branch is set to become permanent (Google)
"It invites local residents to come and enjoy a meal at the restaurant after their night out at the newly reopened nightclub Broadway.
"As the restaurant is in the process of securing a 24 hour license, customers can only use the drive-thru to order food at night.
"So the ‘walk-thru’ is just a play on how customers can come and enjoy a nice meal, later in the evening.
The restaurant are unable to open their doors to serve people inside due to local licensing laws, meaning the walk-thru - that runs from 2.30am to 4am - is the most sensible solution.
And it has proved so successful that it is set to be a permanent fixture at the restaurant.
