Meghan Markle's first wedding invite and her Christmas card picture are quite similar

Meghan Markle's first wedding 'save the date' and her Christmas card with husband Prince Harry bear a striking resemblance to one another.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed their first Christmas card - an unseen picture of the pair at their wedding reception in May. The black-and white photograph by Chris Allerton shows the royal couple arm-in-arm, with their backs to the camera, watching the fireworks at Frogmore House.

Interestingly, the picture is quite similar to the save the date Meghan and her ex-husband, producer Trevor Engelson, sent out ahead of their wedding in 2011.

The more informal black-and-white shot sees Meghan and Trevor looking out at the ocean with their arms around each other.

Trevor and Meghan were married on September 10, 2011 at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios.

It was reportedly a short ceremony, with a source claiming: "The ceremony was over very quickly, in about 15 minutes. Then everyone hit the dance floor. It seemed they all just wanted to party."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Christmas photo was released along with a family photo from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, taken at their home in Norfolk.
