Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister Samantha tweeted “will be there soon” following claims she is travelling to the UK to try to see the duchess.

On Monday, her PR agent Rob Cooper said that she was “coming to the UK” after other attempts to arrange a meeting with the former actress had failed.

A day later, the 53-year-old, who has frequently been often outspoken in her opinions about her sister, tweeted "will be there soon".

She wants to discuss the health of the siblings' 74-year-old father Thomas Markle.

Meghan's estranged sister has previously stated that she feels the 37-year-old new royal, who will carry out her first solo engagement later today, could do more to help him.

Mr Markle did not go to the royal wedding earlier this year after suffering a heart attack.

Announcing the trip with a photo of Meghan's sister, Mr Cooper wrote on Twitter: “Samantha Markle is coming to the UK. After making numerous attempts in private to arrange a one on one meeting with The Duchess of Sussex to discuss their 74 year old father’s health, Kensington Palace have refused to respond.

“I fear Meghan may not be made aware of these discreet attempts and therefore making this public is the only option we have left.

“I currently have Samantha in Europe with just one short flight away.”

Over the weekend she had shared an image of herself in Italy, where she is understood to have been taking part in media interviews.

The mother-of-three, who lives in Miami with her partner and children, has repeatedly publicly criticised her sibling.

Earlier this month she labelled her 'duchASS' in a rant over her treatment of their father.

Prior to this she dubbed her “narcissistic and selfish” and claimed she always wanted to be a princess.

Previous name calling from her towards the new royal included “Cruella Deville”, in reference to the sinister 101 Dalmatians villain, and “Witchy Poo”.
