Meghan Markle penned Taylor Swift personal letter about podcast appearance but was brutally snubbed

Taylor Swift was beaming as she mingled with Prince William, after a previous opportunity to work with his sister-in-law Meghan Markle was politely declined.

The future monarch was captured throwing himself into the dance at Taylor's Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium on Friday night before being treated to a VIP backstage rendezvous with the songstress.

Joining him for this thrilling experience were his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who eagerly hopped into a joyful selfie with Taylor, while her partner Travis Kelce cheekily photo-bombed them.

This friendly interaction sharply contrasts with the cold shoulder Meghan Markle faced when she tried to entice Taylor into contributing to her Archetypes podcast with a "personal letter".

According to reports from last year, Meghan sought to have Taylor appear on her Spotify project Archetypes but was turned down by the global music star.

The Telegraph disclosed that Meghan wrote a "personal letter" to Taylor in hopes of securing her participation on Archetypes, "but the singer declined, through a representative."

Archetypes, hosted by Meghan for its singular season run on Spotify, featured 12 episodes and welcomed an array of celebrity guests including Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, and Jameela Jamil, reports the Mirror.

Meghan's venture with Spotify came to an abrupt end as the service cancelled Archetypes, leading to a dispute that saw Meghan and Prince Harry axed from the platform's lineup. A top-level executive at Spotify is claimed to have harshly criticised the Sussexes, labelling them "f****** grifters".

Meghan has partnered with Lemonada Media and is preparing to launch a new podcast series next year, following the successful release of her first series 'Archetypes'.

Earlier this year, Meghan expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying: "I'm proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.

"Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I'm so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family."
