Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's fresh blow in new royal power ranking

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seen their individual popularity rankings take a hit, despite still wielding "enormous power" as a couple.

Since stepping back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020, the Sussexes' influence has been under scrutiny.

A recent Royal Family ranking analysis indicates that their power and popularity are on a downward trajectory.

In contrast, the Prince and Princess of Wales' appeal seems to be climbing, with The Daily Beast's Royal Power List suggesting their star is still rising, unlike Meghan and Harry's.

The publication notes that Prince Harry's popularity is at 34 percent, while Meghan trails with 26 percent, reports the Express.

Meanwhile, Prince William boasts a 67 percent popularity score and a high 'fame' rating of 97 percent.

Kate Middleton, who faced a cancer scare earlier this year, surpasses her husband with a 71 percent popularity rating, though her 'fame' score is slightly lower at 95 percent.

Despite lagging behind in popularity compared to the Cambridges, the Sussexes are described by the publication as being "more outrageous" and "interesting" than their Royal counterparts.

Harry's 'fame' stands at 100 percent, with Meghan's not far behind at 94 percent. The couple announced their intention to step back as senior working royals in January 2020 and soon relocated to the US.

Their final royal engagement was in March 2020, just before the Covid pandemic hit. At that time, Meghan and Harry, parents to baby Prince Archie, began their new life in California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, now also parents to a daughter named Lilibet, have made several criticisms of the Royal Family since their departure.

They've shared their personal experiences within the Firm, including Meghan's allegations of racism against two unnamed royals.

Meghan and Harry are now settled in Montecito with their son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three. Since leaving royal duties, they've secured commercial deals to achieve financial independence.

Their latest venture is Meghan Markle's American Riviera Orchard brand, which has sent exclusive jars of jam to celebrity influencers for promotion. The recent product line includes a set of dog biscuits.
