Meghan Markle's comments on 'personality differences' with Kate Middleton resurface

Meghan Markle's perceived personality clash with Kate Middleton continues to make headlines.

It comes as the Duchess of Sussex has announced she won't be returning to UK for the the 10th anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games next week, despite her husband Prince Harry attending.

The former Suits actress will stay in the US with their children and then accompany the duke on a trip to Nigeria, reports the Mirror.

A previously aired clip where Meghan spoke about the differences between her and her sister-in-law has resurfaced online. In the footage, Meghan seemed to acknowledge the "different personalities" between herself, Harry, Kate and Prince William.

The revelation was made during a joint appearance of the quartet formerly known as the 'Fab Four' at the Royal Foundation Forum in 2018.

Meghan remarked: "Thank goodness it's such differing personalities and that everyone's very communicative because that's how you can really see bigger change. If everyone's thinking the same way, how are you going to push the envelope? You know, how are you really going to break through in a different sort of mindset?"

She elaborated: "Changing mindsets and all of that is part of this communication that we have constantly. So, I think it's part of the reason we've had so much success with Heads Together and whatever we end up working on moving forward."

However, relations have since deteriorated, and Meghan is now perceived as deliberately avoiding any contact with the Royal Family. It's suggested that her choice to stay away from the UK next week indicates a desire to distance herself from Buckingham Palace.

PR specialist Ryan McCormick believes her absence is indicative of her ambition to carve out an "independent presence" separate from the Royal Family through her new project. "Meghan choosing not to join Harry in the UK may have to do with her focusing more efforts on her new company American Riviera Orchard," he commented.

"At the same time, the duchess may wish to further isolate herself from Buckingham Palace. Why? Markle could be tired out from the royals or see the close association as an obstacle towards further establishing an independent business and personal presence in the US."
