Mel B surgically removed skin of ex-husband tattoo to dump at sea

Splitting up with your other half affects people in different ways.

And it seems there genuinely is nothing worse than a woman scorned – just ask former Spice Girl Melanie B.

In an attempt to rid herself of ex-hubby Stephen Belafonte, Mel has taken some extreme measures.

Rather than simply having a marriage-related torso tattoo gotten rid of by laser, Scary Spice opted for a more extreme method of, ahem, removal – the entire patch of skin his name was covering.

The pair, who were married for 10 years, have gone through a particularly messy divorce where custody of their six-year-old daughter, the destruction of sex tapes used for extortion, and domestic abuse clams were centre of the battle.

The original tat message read: ‘Stephen, till death do us part you own my heart’.

But as per the picture below, Mel’s had ‘Stephen’ literally cut out of her life.

The former singer revealed she’d kept the slather of skin and hopes to give it a ceremonial burn to rid herself of Stephen once and for all – meaning she’s had the piece of tattooed torso stored in a safe space.

So, if you needed a gross-out warning, here it is: the skin is pictured below, and it’s as grim as you’re imagining…

‘I wanted the tattoo removed to help close the final chapter on a toxic relationship. Even though I’ve taken the steps to remove Stephen’s name from my body, the domestic abuse will forever remain with me,’ she previously revealed to the Daily Mail.

But the weird doesn’t end there.

Apparently, the alternative to burning the skin is to dump it at sea, according to Metro.

Surely this sends a message to any future partner of Mel’s: don’t cross her. (Or maybe just don’t get everlasting tattoos?)
