After 10 years of marriage and a year after filing for divorce last December, Mel B and Stephen Belafonte are officially a couple no more.

A Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge granted the divorce judgement yesterday (Friday, December 15), including sorting out child custody and financial issues, reports the Daily Mail.

The publication states that Belafonte will make $9 million from the sale of the former couple's house and business proceeds, while he will have custody of their daughter on alternate weekends and Wednesdays.

He seems very happy about the judgement too, posting afterwards on his Instagram that he is 'free' and using a perhaps ill-advised image of Martin Luther King Jr:

In the immortal words of the late great DR Martin Luther King Junior!!!! FREE at LAST!! #celabrationtime

Belafonte also told the publication that he's happy with the judgement.

I got everything I wanted," he added. "She put me through the worst hell ever. But now it's all over – I hope."

The newspaper also states that the former Spice Girl was not at the court to hear the verdict, and has not spoken about it on any of her social media platforms at the time of writing.

Digital Spy has reached out to Mel B's representatives for comment and will update accordingly.

The divorce proceedings have been incredibly messy over the last few months, with Belafonte denying accusations of drugging the singer, forcing her into threesomes and domestic abuse.

Meanwhile, he accused Mel B of running a 'smear campaign' against him, while the LAPD confirmed they were investigating claims she tampered with witness evidence.
