Men Laugh at NY Cafe Owner as He Confronts Them Over Vandalism

A New York cafe owner was laughed at and mocked by two men he confronted outside his premises as it was being vandalized.

Footage taken by Kaiser Richter shows two men outside his business, the Flowers Cafe on the Lower East Side. One of the men can be seen tagging his seating area with a black marker.

In the video, Richter explains that he spent $16,000 on doing up his cafe, causing one of the men to reply that it “looks f***ing terrible.”

“As I confronted them, one of them justified himself by saying how ugly it looked,” Richter told Storyful.

A New York Police Department representative told Storyful it was reported to them that on Sunday, June 9, an unknown individual tagged the outdoor seating area with black marker.

No arrests had yet been made, the NYPD said.

Richter posted the clip to Instagram, where he asked, “Does anyone know these guys?” Credit: Flowers Cafe – Kaiser Richter / @flowerscafenyc via Storyful
