Merry Little Batman Trailer: Bruce Wayne’s Son Damian Plays Hero in Home Alone-Style Christmas Movie
Prime Video is inviting DC fans to spend the holidays at Wayne Manor. The streamer has released a trailer for Merry Little Batman, an animated Christmas movie premiering on Friday, Dec. 8, which shifts its focus to a slightly smaller caped crusader.
Here’s what to expect, per Prime Video’s official release: “This Christmas, Damian Wayne wants to be a superhero like his dad — the one and only Batman. When Damian is left home alone while Batman takes on Gotham’s worst supervillains on Christmas Eve, he stumbles upon a villainous plot to steal Christmas and leaps at the chance to save the day.”

Featuring the voices of Luke Wilson, Yonas Kibreab, James Cromwell and David Hornsby, Merry Little Batman was written by Morgan Evans and Jase Ricci, and directed by Mike Roth, with music by Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump.
If this project sounds vaguely familiar, that’s probably because it was first announced for Max back in 2022 (when it was still called HBO Max). It was one of several titles, including a Steve Urkel holiday movie starring Jaleel White in the title role, that were shelved and shopped around.
