Metallica voice pride at being featured in 'Stranger Things' as their chart success continues
Metallica have heaped praise on Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers for the "crazy cool" way they featured one of the band's hits in the show, prompting it to soar back up the charts.
The Netflix sci-fi hit released the final two episodes of season four on Friday, which feature a scene where Hellfire Club leader Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) attempts to ward off monster Vecna by playing Metallica's 1986 hit 'Master of Puppets' atop a caravan roof while Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) cheers him on.

Since it dropped on the streaming platform, Metallica has seen a resurgence in chart success for its 36-year-old hit, which currently sits at number 17 on Spotify's global top 50 playlist.
In an Instagram post that shared the clip of Eddie playing the song in Stranger Things, Metallica wrote: "The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include 'Master of Puppets' in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it.
"We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away... it’s so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer!! How crazy cool is that?

"It’s an incredible honor to be such a big part of Eddie’s journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show."
Metallica aren't the only artists to have seen one of their 80s hits find a new audience through the popular show.
Season four of Stranger Things has heavily featured Kate Bush track 'Running Up That Hill' which Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) names as her favourite song and listens to on a loop on her Walkman to try to stop Vecna managing to take over her mind.
The song has enjoyed a huge boost since the season began streaming and is still at number one on Spotify's global top 50 playlist.
