Michelle Heaton divides fans with crotchy exercise vid

Let's be honest, no-one really likes to see other people's gym selfies early in the morning when you're bleary-eyed from choosing that extra half hour in bed or scrolling through your social feeds as you enjoy a deliciously flaky croissant.

So the odds were already against former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton when she uploaded an early morning work out video earlier this week.

But then again, the angle at which she decided to film herself performing the box jumps probably didn't help matters much either.

"#workoutvideo nothing like early morning box jumps to get the heart racing for the day #fitness#FitnessMotivation #video #sweaty#cardio," she captioned the video, and while Michelle's commitment to keeping fit should be commended, there's documenting your progress and then there's throwing it in other people's faces.

And Michelle's work out video definitely threw something in viewers' faces.

"BLOODY HELL! Shel!! Bit early for #GymCamelToe," one commenter posted. "I opened my Instagram and BAM!! Crutch in ya face. #RudeAwakening."

Michelle also acknowledged that it was a bit of a risky angle in the comments too, replying to one of the comments with a see-no-evil monkey: "🙈"

But really, we all just wish we had the same kind of motivation that Michelle does, and many more of her Instagram followers took the opportunity to praise the singer as an inspiration and cheer her on.

"Just wondering whether to get up for a workout then I see this #morninggoals," one fan wrote, while another kept it simple with: "You go girl."

"Keep doing what you are doing Michelle," came another comment. "You are a motivation for many to keep working out."
