Microsoft Website Tries To Guess Your Age Using Facial Recognition
How-Old.net uses facial recognition technology to anaylse your picture
Microsoft's new How-Old.net site enables you upload a picture for the site to analyse and determine your age.
The site also allows you to search for your own image or celebrity pictures that appear online via Microsoft's Bing search engine.
The website was initally created to test out Microsoft's new software building tools from its Azure cloud computing platform, and has since proved to be an online hit with people sharing their results using the #HowOldRobot hashtag.
The reliability of the software relies heavily on the quality and age of the images being searched, with many people finding that their ages had been guessed incorrectly, sometimes with flattering results, and sometimes with terribly insulting consequences.
