Mike Tyson v Jake Paul: Fight to be streamed on Netflix sanctioned as professional fight

The blockbuster fight between boxing legend, Mike Tyson and Youtuber, Jake Paul has been sanctioned as a professional fight. The bout which will be exclusively streamed on Netflix on Saturday July 20.

The AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, will be the stage for the tussle which will see Tyson lace his boots again for his first official professional fight since retirement. A heavyweight matchup, the pair will go at it for eight, two-minute rounds with 14oz. gloves.

The ruling by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations means that the outcome of the punch-up will appear on both their records.

In the co-main event, undisputed super lightweight world champion Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs), will step back in the ring for the most anticipated rematch in women’s boxing history against boxing trailblazer and unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs).

This is the first first Tyson will feature in a professional capacity since his return to the ring in his 50s. Back in 2020, the former world heavyweight champion fought fellow 90s boxing legend, Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match billed as "Lockdown Knockdown". The match ended as a draw in a controversial split decision.

Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said: Mike Tyson and Jake Paul signed on to fight each other with the desire to do so in a sanctioned professional fight that would have a definitive outcome,”
