Miley Cyrus ‘splits’ from fiancé Liam Hemsworth as she’s ‘not ready to start a family’

Miley Cyrus has reportedly called off her wedding to Liam Hemsworth after they clashed over when to start a family.

The US pop star, 25, is thought to have ended her on-off relationship with the Australian actor, 28 after realising that that she wasn’t ready for marriage and parenthood.

The high-profile couple announced their engagement for the first time in 2012 but split in 2013, rekindling their romance two years later in 2015.

“He wants kids and doesn't want to keep putting it off but it's not quite the timeline Miley had in mind... he is left heartbroken,” a source told OK! Australia.

“Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it... They haven't been getting along in recent months.”

According to reports, the Wrecking Ball singer didn’t want to walk down the aisle any time soon, while Hemsworth was keen to settle down.

“[She] didn't really want to get married. It's something that everyone else seemed to get but Liam,” said the insider.

“[His] family had been begging him to see the light for a long time, but he had faith in Miley. Now he feels like an idiot.”

Just last year Cyrus admitted that marriage wasn’t a priority for her as she felt she had more “living” to do.

“I don't envision marriage. I'm 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married],” she told The Sun.

The pair were rumoured to have already tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Malibu last year but never confirmed nor denied the reports.

Evening Standard has contacted Miley Cryus and Liam Hemsworth’s representatives for comment.
