Millions of Gallons Of Water Rush From Wilson Dam After Heavy Rain in Tennessee Valley

Heavy rainfall in south of the United States forced the release of millions of gallons of water from the Wilson Dam near Florence, Alabama, on Sunday, February 24.

The dam released 3.5 million gallons of water per second, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) tweeted.

Lake levels at multiple dams in Tennessee are above normal summer pool and rising to prevent downstream flooding, said the Tennessee Valley Authority.
