Miss Great Britain Belfast: 25 year-old Lisburn woman crowned with 2024 title

A 25-year-old woman has been named Miss Great Britain Belfast 2024. Thirteen ladies took part in the final of the competition over the weekend at The Merchant Hotel.

But it was Film and TV production assistant Stacey Burns from Lisburn who took home the crown. She will now go on to compete in the Miss Great Britain final in Leicester in October.

Amongst the other awards on the night were first runner-up Taylor Jordan and second runner-up Rebekah Martin.

The show was run by the competition's Regional Director, Lizzy Doherty, with over 150 guests in attendance on Sunday night, June 9.

A statement said: "Before the event, each of the contestants invested their time and effort into supporting the two nominated charities, promoting the sponsors, working in their communities and on their passions as well as helping to build the brand of Miss Great Britain Belfast. Before the big reveal on Sunday evening, the 13 hopefuls took part in a one-to-one judges interview, dazzling fashion wear, swimwear and evening wear round for their last chance to impress the judging panel.

"The judging panel this year consisted of 6 professionals from various industries who are all extremely reputable within their field. This year's judges were Katharine Walker, Eden McAllister, Madeleine Wahdan (Reigning Miss Great Britain), Alan Wallace, Aryana Neo and head judge was none other than pageant royalty, Sally-Ann Fawcett.

"Hosting this year's event was former Miss Great Britain, Gemma Garrett alongside DJ Chris Suitor and Holly Sax providing entertainment throughout the night."

The National Final of the Miss Great Britain competition will take place on Friday, October 18 at the Athena in Leicester.
