“Modern Family” Reunion! Jesse Tyler Ferguson Supports Sarah Hyland After Her “Little Shop of Horrors” Debut

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is cheering on one of his Modern Family costars!

On Wednesday, June 12, Ferguson, 48, and his husband Justin Mikita posed for photos with Sarah Hyland backstage at New York City's off-Broadway Little Shop of Horrors revival after Hyland, 33, Andrew Barth Feldman and Kevin Del Aguila made their debuts in the production.

Ferguson and Mikita could be seen posing with Hyland in one photo; Mikita and the actress embraced each other in another snapshot from the celebration, while Ferguson and his husband also snapped photos with cast member James Carpinello and his wife Amy Acker.

Hyland and Ferguson memorably starred in Modern Family's ensemble cast across the ABC sitcom's 11 total seasons. Hyland portrayed teenager Haley Dunphy in the series, while Ferguson portrayed Mitchell Pritchett, Haley's uncle. Now performing off-Broadway, Hyland has committed to a limited run with Little Shop of Horrors as lead character Audrey, while Feldman, 22, costars as Seymour; Del Aguila currently portrays Mushnik, while Carpinello, 48, portrays Dr. Orin Scrivello D.D.S.

Ferguson and Hyland appear to have remained close more than four years after Modern Family aired its series finale in April 2020. The pair each shared a photo of themselves and Mikita posing together at a dinner on Instagram on May 6 as they celebrated Hyland's new theater role.

"date night before our sweet @sarahhyland starts play practice for @littleshopnyc," Ferguson wrote in a caption to that post. "So proud!"

Hyland recently shared her hopes for a potential Modern Family reboot while speaking with PEOPLE at the 2024 Drama Desk Awards on June 10. "I love Modern Family so much. I love the cast with my entire heart and soul. I mean, Jesse and I are so close, and his husband Justin and my husband Wells, the four of us vacation together," she said. "I would love to be back with everybody.”

Feldman takes over Little Shop of Horror's lead role as Seymour from Corbin Bleu; Hyland succeeded Jinkx Monsoon in the role.

Little Shop of Horror's cast also currently features Aaron Arnell Harrington, Tiffany Renee Thompson, Morgan Ashley Bryant, Khadija Sankoh, Camryn Hampton, Michael Iannucci, Weston Chandler Long, Jeff Sears, Teddy Yudain, and Zakiya Baptiste. The production can be seen at N.Y.C.'s Westside Theatre.
