If you can always be found in the kitchen at parties, you’ll find an infinity with Molly Goddard as London Fashion Week’s best loved frill seeker served up extra portions of her signature party girl aesthetic on a catwalk which came complete with its own catering.

On a stage lined with bubbling saucepans and shelves stacked high with sacks of onions, comfortably over dressed was this season’s dress code as the designer declared her woman “doesn’t get FOMO. In fact, she isn’t too sure what it stands for.”

True to form as the life and soul of every party, many models lingered to help themselves to a glass of red wine or a handful of carrot sticks.

The first one to get stuck into the vino was Edie Campbell, who led Goddard’s girls wearing a tiny black scoop neck crop top and tiered floor-sweeping skirt.

The looks which followed seamlessly fused dramatic daywear with cocktail hour dressing for those who like to make an entrance.

Goddard’s signature smocks came crafted from heavy cotton in shades of olive green and bubblegum pink - ideal for times when an impromptu party invite might fall into your lap - while host-with-the-most gladrags included gathered gold taffeta gowns and a tangerine tulle tiered creation which was worn with psychedelic printed tights.

Ruched mesh cocktail dresses were clingy without being potentially restrictive of any spontaneous dance moves, while one billowing navy gown was so enormous it required the model wearing it to hold it aloft while she walked.

Everything in between spanned cropped gingham knits, bubble hem mini skirts and peplum ruffle waist jumpsuits.

The handbags - crafted from wool overlain with wipe-clean vinyl - were also designed with an immunity to the odd red wine-related slip up in mind.
