New Mom Halle Bailey Teases Her Return to Music: ‘Back to My Love’

On Wednesday, June 19, the singer/actress shared an update on Instagram

Halle Bailey is ready to take the mic again.

The singer/actress, 24, shared an update on Instagram on Wednesday, June 19, revealing she's pivoting back to music.

"i have one more week until i wrap this movie 🎥 and then it’s back to my love musicccc ♥️," Halle wrote on the platform, alongside a photo of herself in a turquoise bikini top and skirt that match her turquoise guitar and strap.

In February, Halle and her sister Chloe Bailey — who form the duo Chloe x Hallespoke with PEOPLE about their partnership with CORE Hydration and the songs they are planning to release in 2024.

"We're definitely working on really exciting things together, and it's been very nostalgic," Chloe, 25, said. "It's bringing us back to our roots, and we can't wait until we can present that to the world."

She added that the music will "definitely be huge."

The pair revealed that in addition to their musical project together, they're working on solo endeavors.

"I would definitely just say you'll see new music and new projects, and more seeing us together," Halle said. "It's more blessings, and we're just really grateful and excited to be continuing."

Chloe added, "The possibilities are endless, and I'm just really proud of my sister, and I'm proud of myself. We still have a long way to go to where our goals are, so we are just going to keep pushing."

Chloe and Halle's last joint collaboration was their 2020 album, Ungodly Hour.

After the release of Ungodly Hour, Chloe released her debut solo album, In Pieces, in 2023. That year, Halle released her first solo single, "Angel."

Together, the sister duo also released their 2018 debut album, The Kids Are Alright, plus their 2017 mixtape, The Two of Us, and EPs such as 2013's Uncovered and 2016's Sugar Symphony.

Both Chloe and Halle have starred in several acting projects recently, as well.

Halle, who is set to star in Michael Gondry's Atlantis, also starred in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid and the musical adaptation of The Color Purple.

Meanwhile, Chloe starred in Jane, Praise This and The Georgetown Project.

In April, Chloe performed at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival — her first solo appearance after she and her sister previously performed there together.

Halle, meanwhile, announced the birth of her son, Halo, with boyfriend DDG, in January.
