Moment fight erupts and tables hurled at rooftop bar in City of London

Tables and chairs were hurled and punches were thrown as a fight broke out in a City of London bar on Saturday night.

Footage of the incident at Madison Rooftop Bar showed groups of men violently clashing, while onlookers cried out or fled for cover.

London rapper Cas posted the footage on Twitter but was unable to give further information on what sparked the confrontation.

City of London Police said in a statement that they were called to a “large and violent fight” at the bar in the capital’s financial district.

A number of people were injured in the disorder which took place in the shadow of St Paul's cathedral.

Eight arrests were made, the force said.
