Moment Tartan Army burst into song as missing schoolboy reunited with grandad

This is the moment when a lost Scots schoolboy missing in Cologne's fan zone for two hours was returned to his grandad.

The jubilant Tartan Army sang 'no Tommy, no party' after the little boy was found following a frantic search.

Supporters were worried after the DJ halted tunes to say a youngster was missing.

Revellers were told to 'shut up' as they stopped dancing and began searching for little Tommy Rendall, 10.

Soon enough the music was stopped again and the little boy was held up into the air near the stage.

Everyone in the fan zone began cheering as he was handed back to his grandad George Thomson, 60, from Edinburgh.

After being reunited and posing up for a picture with the Record, George said: "He's been missing for two hours. I've been searching everywhere for him. I've been out and back several times. We were really worried."

Tommy said: "I was just over at that side of the fan zone, I didn't know they were looking for me."

The pre-match party got into full swing after Germany beat Hungary 2-0 in the earlier game.

Some locals piled out of the 7,500 capacity venue while others partied with the Scots to songs such as Yes Sir I Can Boogie and 500 Miles.
