Brexit deal not open for renegotiation, EU leaders say

EU leaders have dealt a huge blow to Theresa May’s Brexit plans, saying the deal is “not open for renegotiation”.

It comes after the Prime Minister pleaded with EU leaders for concessions to avoid a disorderly no-deal outcome.

Jean-Claude Juncker criticised Mrs May's lack of clarity over her plans for the UK’s future relationship with the EU.

The European Commission president said: "Our UK friends need to say what they want, instead of asking us to say what we want.”

Suspected gunman shot dead in Strasbourg

The suspected extremist gunman who killed three near the Strasbourg's iconic Christmas market has been shot dead.

Chérif Chekatt had been on the run since Tuesday after the attack, which also left 13 people injured.

He was killed after a police operation was launched in the Neudorf-Meinau area of the French city at about 9pm local time.

Dimbleby’s final Question Time

David Dimbleby has hosted his last ever Question Time after spending 25 years in the presenter’s chair.

The veteran presenter received a standing ovation from the audience as he closed last night’s show.

He ended the BBC programme by thanking those who tuned in to watch the debate show for his quarter-century at the helm.

Wimbledon expansion receives huge boost

Wimbledon's ambitious expansion plans have been handed a huge boost after the neighbouring golf club voted to sell its land.

The decision rested in the in the hands of the club’s 750 members, which include the likes of Piers Morgan and Ant and Dec.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club last night announced the vote went in its favour, and that a transfer would go through this month.

Court approval is still pending.

Danny Dyer: The royals won’t acknowledge me

Danny Dyer has voiced his frustration at not being recognised as part of the royal family.

When filming Who Do You Think You Are? In 2016, the soap star discovered that he is related to William the Conqueror and Henry III.

Dyer told his royal roots as he appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs tomorrow night on ITV.

Asked if he had been invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, he joked: "They won't acknowledge me.”
