This Morning presenter Rylan Clark has revealed that he ‘lost his nipples’ during his first live X Factor show.

Clark and co-host Amanda Holden were sharing fashion faux pas with one another on Friday (October 26) following Meghan Markle’s recent wardrobe malfunction – she was photographed with a label still attached to her dress – when Clark made the admission about his gory nipple mishap.

The presenter made his first live performance on The X Factor in 2012, where he performed Spandau Ballet’s ‘Gold’ in an evidently uncomfortable Egyptian costume.

“This one is from my very first very X Factor live show,” he said as after showing an image of himself in the costume. “I look like a camp Egyptian.”

After Holden described him as looking ‘hot’ in the gold get-up, Clark then revealed that he was actually in tremendous pain during the performance.

“The thing is, that was a gold chainmail vest. And everyone used to take the mick out of my singing, but what they didn’t realise was that I was in pain. I lost my nipples that day. It ripped off both my nipples.”

Astounded and disturbed by Clark’s horrifying nipple story, Holden then admitted: “I would end my career if I lost mine.”

Clark went on to explain that he thought he was sweating profusely, but after the performance realised that his body was covered in blood and his nipples were gone.

“I came off stage and I was like, ‘I’m really wet, I must be really sweating’. But obviously [it was] the adrenaline of the first live show. And it was… red.

“I know there’s a lot of children watching. I don’t want to scare them.”

Clark crashed out of The Factor in fifth place, but has since found fame as a presenter on This Morning and Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
