'This Morning's' Alison Hammond leaves viewers in hysterics as she falls over skiing twice

Alison Hammond outdid herself in the hilarity department this Thursday when she fell over several times live on air.

The former Big Brother contestant and current This Morning presenter was hosting live from Val d’Isère in the French Alps and attempted to have a go at skiing for the first time. Or as it unfolded, balance on the back of her instructor’s skis.

But all did not go to plan, and the 43-year-old had both Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby back in the ITV studio in fits of giggles as well as the viewers at home.

“Oh my god that is hilarious. She’s been wiped out!” laughed Willoughby.

“That had to happen. That was fantastic. It’s worthwhile sticking with her!” Schofield added.

Hammond had shared a selfie with her skiing instructor shortly before filming the travel segment. She captioned the snap with: ‘Tune into @thismorning where I will be live with my ski instructor in Val d’Isère, hope you can join.’

Many viewers wrote on Twitter how funny they found Hammond taking a tumble and several praised her for having ‘another go’ after her initial fall.

Hammond is well-known for her hilarious onscreen antics and back in October she accidentally knocked a crew member into Liverpool’s Albert Dock when she was presenting from This Morning’s floating weather map.

She is also close friends with Willoughby, who was delighted when she joined her in the jungle during her hosting duties on last year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

“Well you saw when I saw you, I nearly cried… ‘It’s my family! But yeah, Dec has been so wonderful, he’s really helping me,” Willoughby said to Hammond during a This Morning behind the scenes tour of the jungle camp.
