This Morning's Ben Shephard declares 'indescribable pride' after being scolded for quip

Ben Shephard appeared to find it difficult to find the words to support someone he interviewed on Good Morning Britain on many occasions as he celebrated their latest move.

The now This Morning host headed out on a 'school night' on Tuesday (May 7) as he joined Hussain Manawer, a globally acclaimed poet, mental health advocate and producer, at the launch of his latest book, I Wanted To Quit Too.

Sharing a selfie of the pair to his Instagram Story, Ben gushed: "Can't describe how proud I am of @hussainmanawer and his book launch #iwantedtoquittoo," before he shared a glimpse inside the event held at Abbey Road Studios.

The former GMB host was seen enjoying some time with father and son duo Larry and George Lamb before he later shared a snap of himself posing with Hussain's book and told his followers: "What a night celebrating @hussainmanawer new book. It'll surprise, delight and inspire you #iwantedtoquittoo."

Ben's night out came after he was cheekily scolded by Stephen Mulhern live on This Morning after he dared to bring up rumours the presenter and magician is dating one of the ITV show's own stars. The Deal or No Deal and Catchphrase host was on the ITV show on Tuesday (May 7) to chat about his latest children's book.

However, his appearance on the programme comes week after he was romantically linked to one of the show's presenters, Josie Gibson. It came after they both appeared on the last episode of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway on April 13 and the pair sent the rumour mill into overdrive when they were spotted holding hands outside a television studio as they filmed a feature for the ITV show, which came to an end after 20 years on-air.

Ahead of an ad break on the show, Ben was letting viewers know about an upcoming segment. He asked whether viewers found the sound of a woman tapping her long nails on a table relaxing or annoying before explaining: "The world of AMSR, we're going to be finding out for ourselves if it can help with sleep, anxiety and stress."

Cat also went on to tease their chat with Stephen who was already making the most of the AMSR expert as he was seen lying back on a massage table while the woman rubbed bubble wrap over his face.

"I've only come here to talk about... I'm having the time of my life," Stephen laughed. "Is that because he's dating one of the family? Is that what it is?" Ben cheekily asked to which Stephen lifted his head and said: "Oh shut your face!" Then as the camera lingered on the studio waiting for the break, Stephen could be seen looking at Ben and shaking his head.
