Motherwell hero makes Premiership team of the year

Motherwell striker Theo Bair is in the PFA Scotland Premiership team of the year.

The Canadian is one of only four non-Old Firm players in this year's line-up, joining Aberdeen's Bojan Miovski and Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, up front, and Dundee's Owen Beck in defence.

The PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year is: Jack Butland (Rangers); James Tavernier (Rangers), Cameron Carter-Vickers (Celtic), Liam Scales (Celtic), Owen Beck (Dundee); Matt O'Riley (Celtic), John Lundstram (Rangers), Callum McGregor (Celtic); Bojan Miovski (Aberdeen), Lawrence Shankland (Hearts), Theo Bair (Motherwell).

Bair has scored 13 goals in 36 appearances this season.

Airdrie captain Adam Frizzell has also been named in the Championship team of the year, which is a much more varied team.

That one consists of: Calum Ferrie (Queen’s Park); Jack McMillan (Partick Thistle), Kevin Holt (Dundee United), Scott McMann (Dundee United), Josh Edwards (Dunfermline); Adam Frizzell (Airdrieonians), Craig Sibbald (Dundee United), Sam Stanton (Raith Rovers); Brian Graham (Partick Thistle), Louis Moult (Dundee United) and Ruari Paton (Queen’s Park).
