A motorcyclist drove through a lowered barrier and crashed on a rising drawbridge in Daytona Beach, Florida, on March 12, surveillance footage released by Volusia County Government shows.
In a crash report sent to Storyful, Daytona Beach Police Department said the motorcyclist failed to observe the red flashing warning lights and collided with a large flashing red stop arm.
The driver continued and, as the bridge had already been raised halfway, dismounted as their bike fell off the bridge, they said.
Records provided to Storyful showed that the motorcyclist was ticketed for careless driving. Credit: Volusia County Government via Storyful
