Movie actor spotted in Worcester as BBC's Father Brown filming continues

Mark Williams, known for his role as the charismatic clergyman detective Father Brown, was spotted taking a quick break on set while filming in Worcester for the much-anticipated 12th series of the BBC crime drama.

The forthcoming instalment is expected to broadcast early next year and will welcome back several beloved characters such as Chief Inspector Sullivan played by Strictly winner Tom Chambers, Mrs. Divine portrayed by Claudie Blakley, Brenda enacted by Ruby-May Martinwood, and Sergeant Goodfellow acted by John Burton.

The 65-year-old actor will was seen during a break from the action-packed scenes. Hopeful fans patiently lingered at the end of Oswald Road within the city centre, hoping to spot their favourite stars with one stating: "I was so excited to hear the series was coming back."

They further added: "I absolutely love the show and Mark is wonderful as Father Brown." Mark, predominantly revered for his character Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films, felt at home on set as he grew up in nearby Bromsgrove, setting the scene with nostalgic familiarity.

Gaining recognition for his performances with the Royal Shakespeare Company, he captured the public's attention and admiration through The Fast Show, establishing him as a popular figure on the BBC sketch programme.
