Multiple Casualties Reported After Train Derails in Taiwan

At least 18 people died and 168 were injured when a train derailed in Yilan, Taiwan, on October 21, local reports said.

The Puyuma express train derailed at the Xinma railway station in the town of Suao. It was carrying 366 passengers, including foreign nationals, said reports. The driver of the train was among the injured and many were brought to hospitals in Yilan county. Taiwan Railway investigated the incident.
