NATO Secretary General Surveys Turkish Earthquake Damage

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with Turkish officials and surveyed earthquake damage in the Hatay region of Turkey on Thursday, February 16.

Footage shared by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey shows Stoltenberg, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, and other officials greeting soldiers at the Incirlik air base before surveying earthquake damage on board a helicopter.

Footage from the flyover shows damage from Antakya, near the Syrian border to Aleppo.

Stoltenberg also met with Turkish President Recep Erdogan in Ankara, NATO said, expressing his solidarity with Turkey and pledging the support of several NATO member states and invitees. Credit: Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey via Storyful
