It's official – Brad Willis and Lauren Turner are leaving Neighbours after four years back on Ramsay Street.

The couple have been making plans for a fresh start on the Gold Coast over the past few weeks, but here's your first look at the emotional moment they say their goodbyes.

In the build-up to their departure, Lauren is plagued by last-minute doubts about leaving her daughter Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) behind in Erinsborough.

Paige has agreed to take charge of Harold's by herself and is sure that she can handle things, but things get off to a bad start when she has to deal with a threatening customer before Lauren has even gone.

The sinister arrival turns nasty with Paige by rebuking her for getting pregnant with a priest's baby, before making it very clear that the local community would much rather she left with Lauren and Brad.

Things get even worse when Harold's is vandalised, leaving Lauren fearful over whether it's really safe to leave Paige alone.

Fortunately, there's an innocent explanation for the vandalism (phew!) and Lauren is reassured to know that Terese and Jack will both be keeping a close eye on Paige on her behalf.

With that settled, there's nothing stopping Brad and Lauren from getting their happy ending as they head off into the sunset together, with everyone on Ramsay Street wishing them well.

Kip Gamblin and Kate Kendall took over the roles of Brad and Lauren for the characters' returns in 2013, but they filmed their exits late last year before Neighbours went on its Christmas production break.

Paige and Piper will be sticking with the show following Brad and Lauren's exits.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Friday, April 7 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
