Neighbours airs another twist in the Finn Kelly saga next week, hinting that the new and improved version of the character is here to stay.

The Aussie soap has recently hinted that Finn's memories could be making a return, as he recognised his old acquaintance Harry Sinclair in last week's episodes.

As we've already revealed, Finn will soon come clean over this crucial detail during his latest check-in appointment at the hospital.

Afterwards, Finn is told that he may have to face another court hearing, as he could become a danger to the community again if his amnesia isn't permanent.

Next week, Finn's new-found friendship with Elly Conway sees them work together to solve the mystery over his rogue memory of Harry.

Elly pushes Finn to recall where he knows Harry from and he mentions an older red brick building. This confuses Elly, as the description doesn't match the school that Finn and Harry both taught at.

When Elly and Finn pay a visit to disgraced Harry, he reluctantly discloses that the memory is from the first time they ever met.

This was when Finn was an 18-year-old teaching student who visited Harry's former workplace.

Finn is hugely relieved to realise that this is outside the 12-year window of the memories he lost, which means there's no evidence of his amnesia wearing off.

This means that Finn probably won't have to face another hearing after all, keeping him as a free man. With crisis averted, can Finn finally move forward with his life?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, May 28 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
