Neighbours star April Rose Pengilly has rejected claims that the show is facing cancellation.
A recent article in an Australian magazine suggested the future of the Ramsay Street soap was uncertain and could be coming to an end. It claimed that Channel 5 wasn't happy, and that many of the cast and crew were growing "anxious".
Channel 5 declined to comment on the piece, but April – who plays Chloe Brennan – reassured fans by dismissing the rumours as untrue when she was asked on Instagram.
"Nope! It's all baloney," she said.
"The same articles say that we're not working right now and won't be until August. If you watch my Stories, you'll know that that's absolutely not the case 😂."
The original article came following the decision to cut the Australian broadcast from five weekly episodes to four. TV Tonight, which broke the news of the schedule change, said the move was made to help the UK catch up.
Channel 5 is currently 20 episodes behind Australia's 10 Peach, and so it will take 20 weeks to sync up the broadcast in both countries.
April's character Chloe is currently in the middle of a major storyline.
UK fans have seen Chloe offered a position at the vineyard by Leo Tanaka, who looks to come between her and Nicolette as she begins to have doubts about the relationship.
In Australia, the situation has dramatically escalated and viewers recently saw one character replaced in the opening titles.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
