Nepal Quake: Missing And Found Britons

The search for British survivors caught in the massive earthquake which hit Nepal has been hampered by damage to communications networks.

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has said several hundred British nationals and dozens of Irish nationals are thought to be in Nepal.

Embassy staff have been searching hospitals for Britons in need of help, but none have yet been reported as dead or injured.

Officials have warned it could take some time before those missing are tracked down.

Among the areas causing concern is the Langtang trekking region where about 30 foreign tourists are thought to be trapped and waiting evacuation.
