Netflix announces UK Selling Sunset-style show Netflix

Netflix has announced a London-based Selling Sunset-style show called Buying London, reportedly starring former Made in Chelsea star Rosi Walden, with a release date now confirmed.

Selling Sunset made waves when the Los Angeles-centric reality TV smash focusing on real estate brokers the Oppenheim Group premiered in 2019 – and has continued to entertain viewers around the globe since then with seven seasons (and another on the way).

Now, the UK's answer to the show has been announced by Netflix in the form of Buying London, a British reality series following property mogul Daniel Daggers and his "ambitious team of agents at DDRE Global".

The streamer has also confirmed that the series will debut on the platform in May, with a more specific release date to be announced, and has also debuted a first-look clip, which you can watch below:

The official synopsis of the series reads that the team will, "take on and challenge London’s luxury property market in this brand-new Netflix series, Buying London.

"The talented team set out to conquer the super prime high-end real estate market from the prestigious streets of Mayfair to the exclusive enclaves of Holland Park as we follow the group as they navigate the intricacies of their personal lives as well as striving to make their mark in the glamorous world of luxury real estate."

None of the cast have officially been confirmed, though it's reasonable to suspect that Daggers himself will appear as the British answer to the Oppenheim twins.

As reported by Yahoo! News, Made in Chelsea's Rosi Walden seems a likely cast member due to her extensive experience in the luxury property market and role as an agent for Daggers' DDRE Group.

Walden appeared in MIC from series 17 to 20, so having reality television experience would certainly be a plus.

There is currently no trailer. Buying London has been hailed a "reality docusoap" by showrunner Cam De La Heurta, previously Head of Formats at production company Naked. Huerta's previous reality TV credits include Big Brother and The Only Way is Essex - and up until December 2023 he worked for The Apprentice.

It is not the first subsequent Selling Sunset style show to hit the streaming giant since 2019; the franchise has already spawned Selling The OC and Selling Tampa.

Buying London will debut on Netflix in May. Selling Sunset seasons 1-7 are streaming now on Netflix.
