A week after releasing the adrenaline-fulled trailer for Black Mirror season 5, Netflix has now confirmed a promotional companion series is on the way – and it's coming very soon.

The streaming service is set to launch Little Black Mirror, a short, three-episode video series which will be connected to the Black Mirror universe.

The three episodes will be released on YouTube on May 26, June 2 and June 6 on the Netflix América Latina channel. Check out the trailer below.

Little Black Mirror will star Maia Mitchell (The Fosters), Rudy Mancuso, Juanpa Zurita, Lele Pons, Anwar Jiwabi, Hannah Stocking, Jeff Wittek, Delaney Glazer and Alesso.

For the new series, Netflix reached out to Latin American YouTubers to offer up their own takes on the technophobic show.

Meanwhile, Black Mirror season 5 launches on June 5, featuring an all-star cast that includes the likes of Miley Cyrus, Avengers: Endgame's Anthony Mackie and Pom Klementieff. Fleabag actor Andrew Scott will also appear – with Spider-Man 3's Topher Grace also showing up in long-haired/bearded form in the trailer.

Recently, series creator and writer Charlie Brooker actually teased the possibility of a spin-off series.

Speaking to Digital Spy, he explained: "Black Mirror is a flavour, and a tone. We have some, fairly wobbly, internal rules about what it is and isn't right for a Black Mirror episode that we never really articulate out loud, but it does feel pretty flexible.

"So I don't think there's anything to stop us... we could do one-offs, we could do an ongoing story, we could do spin-offs."

Black Mirror season 5 comes to Netflix on June 5 and Little Black Mirror kicks off on YouTube on May 26.
