Netflix fans say 'mind-blowing' thriller series is 'a masterpiece'

A Netflix thriller series has been hailed a 'masterpiece' by some viewers. The series in question is Dark, which first graced Netflix screens back in 2020 and has recently enjoyed a surge in popularity.

The synopsis for the German thriller reads: "A missing child sets four families on a frantic hunt for answers as they unearth a mind-bending mystery that spans three generations."

Critics have lauded Dark, awarding it an impressive 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It boasts a strong score of 8.7 out of 10 on IMDb. Social media has been abuzz with viewers sharing their high opinions of the series, reports the Liverpool Echo.

On Facebook, Tim Matthews exclaimed: "The best. THE BEST. In my 54 years, this IS the best series I've EVER watched. It smashes everything. I love quality, of a story, of acting, the whole thing. THIS has it, as a television series."

Antonia Eilander praised: "It's amazing. I usually know what is going to happen in films/series. But this one wasn't predictable. Absolute masterpiece."

Meanwhile, Amber Aitken-Fussell stated: "Easily one of the best shows I've ever watched."

However, some viewers seemed overwhelmed by its complexity admitting it's not that straightforward to follow.
