Yahoo News Netflix renews My Life with the Walter Boys for season 2
Netflix has renewed My Life with the Walter Boys for a second season.
The teen drama only premiered on the streaming service earlier this month, on December 7, and its success has prompted a renewal already.
Deadline, which reported the season 2 news, states that the show topped the English-language TV charts after racking up more than 12 million views.

Showrunner Melanie Halsall said: "It's been incredible. Phenomenal, actually. I think the audience response has just been so overwhelming and enthusiastic and positive. We couldn't have hoped for better audience reaction really."
While season 1 mostly followed the events of Ali Novak's book, the ending set up the second run to go down its own path, but Halsall isn't giving away what that path will be just yet.
"I mean, the story is set in Silver Falls. Beyond that, I genuinely don’t know," she added.

"[There's opportunity to] spread our wings and fine little bit while still being true to Ali's original story.
"I was always thinking that could be a long-running, returning series. That's one of the reasons I love the book so much…as well as that core love triangle that we saw, which is so rich and fantastic and wonderful, we've also got a town full and school full of fantastic ensemble characters that I think have incredibly rich storytelling opportunities."
Having said that, Halsall does have a potential idea of where things might end up.
"I've often said that maybe Jackie won’t end up with a boy but she'll end up on her own," the showrunner mused. "Maybe that's still the case. It was a deliberate decision to make that change, and I think it was organic to the story."
My Life with the Walter Boys season 1 can be streamed on Netflix now.
