Netflix Renews 'The Vince Staples Show' For a Second Season

Netflix officially renewed Vince Staples' The Vince Staples Show for a second season.

The Vince Staples Show is back! The people have spoken and the most riveting, captivating, and polarizing show on Netflix is returning for season 2. Get ready for hijinks that only a mother can love. Thank you, Netflix!” Staples said in a statement. Additional details, including season two's release date, cast and episode count are yet to be announced.

Season one premiered in mid-February with a total of five episodes, and follows a satirical version of Staples as he goes through his everyday life as a "kind of famous" rapper in his home of Long Beach. The Vince Staples Show starred the rapper himself alongside recurring guest stars Vanessa Bell Calloway and Andrea Ellsworth, as well as guest stars like Naté Jones, Rick Ross, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg and Myles Bullock.

“There are so many things to pull from in our day-to-day lives, especially with the story that I was trying to tell with the show. They're never-ending, so to say,” he previously told Hypebeast. “A lot of the time, we only know what's inside of our bubble. This might be a normal day for [TV Vince Staples], but these circumstances speak on how we all live extremely different lives based on our perspective.” Staples added, “I also think the contentment for life is there. It's like no matter what happened throughout that day, we have another day. It’s the same thought process of ‘Okay, maybe tomorrow, things will be better.’”
