Netflix's Bling Empire and spinoff get bad news
Bling Empire, the Netflix reality series about the lives of rich Asian Americans in Los Angeles, and its New York-set spinoff are ending (via Deadline).
Inspired by the big-screen success of Crazy Rich Asians, Bling Empire launched its 10-episode third season in October 2022.
The show followed the cast as they juggled no-expenses-spared parties, multi-billion-dollar businesses, holidays and relationships. Its cast members have used the reality show as a platform to advance their profiles, with Christine Chiu appearing on Dancing with the Stars in 2021.

Bling Empire and its spin-off are not the only shows to be cancelled by the streamer. Netflix also recently cancelled On My Block spin-off Freeridge, raunchy drama Sex/Life, animated comedy Inside Job and international drama 1899.
Last month, Netflix confirmed that Penn Badgley series You is ending next year with season 5.
“We’re proud to see how You has captivated audiences around the world, becoming an instant sensation on Netflix with a resounding cultural impact that has grown season over season,” executive Peter Friedlander said at the time.
“We’re excited – and a bit terrified – to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for sure: You are in for an unforgettable ending.”
