New Look At Live-Action Beauty And The Beast

Here’s another new glimpse at ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

Staring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, the upcoming live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast’ looks just as magical as its animated counterpart. But while we have to wait a little longer before the tale as old as time waltzes into cinemas, it looks as though we’ve been given another sneak peek.

And this time, it features Beauty and the Beast themselves.

Unfortunately, the brief clip doesn’t show the characters on set or in costume. Instead, Disney’s latest behind-the-scenes video gives us a candid look at Emma Watson and Dan Stevens practising their lines at the official table read.

And you can feel the chemistry between them already.

There isn’t an awful lot in the way of new imagery - the castle interiors look stunning, but we’ve seen them already in the film’s teaser… and that image of Cogsworth and Lumiere has been doing the rounds since last week.

However, what we do have is our first snippet of audio - listening in to Belle and the Beast as they discuss books.

Belle asks what the Beast is reading, and points out that the story of Guinevere and Lancelot is a romance… even if he insists on calling it ‘King Arthur and the Round Table’. “I felt like a change,” he adds. And it sounds as though young Belle might be getting through to him already.

Of course, this is just a brief glimpse of what’s in store, with a full, extended sneak peek available with the 25th anniversary re-release of the original ‘Beauty and the Beast’ on 6 September.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ heads to cinemas on 17 March 2017.
