Newborn Giraffe Born in Wildlife Park Struggles With First Steps

A newborn giraffe born at wildlife conservation center The Wilds in Cumberland, Ohio, was caught attempting to take its first steps in a video shared on July 13.

The Masai giraffe calf was born on July 10, and a press release shared about the birth noted that the calf is “strong and staying close to its mother.” In the video, the calf tries to stand up and walk several times, and continuously falls down.

However, the calf didn’t let its failure stop it, and before too long it was running around and being investigated by other members of the giraffe herd. Credit: The Wilds via Storyful
